Triethyl Citrate is an ester of citric acid and a multi-functional additive for cosmetics. It is a pure solvent, diluent, and fixative for long-lasting perfumes, as well as an excellent active agent for deodorants. TEC is an on-demand deodorant boosting ingredient with enzyme-inhibiting mechanism and mild antimicrobial effect. It inhibits the lipase based metabolism of sweat components which cause malodor. Combine with Zinc Ricinoleate to create a completely natural deodorant formulation that is gentle on skin yet highly effective against odour.
On rub-in it exhibits film forming cushion and a unique silicone-like silkiness that eventually rubs to dryness. It finds application in fragrance products, bath products, creams ,lotions, make-up, hair products,and deodorants.
