Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine also known as Conditioner SD is a readily biodegradable, cationic surfactant and hair conditioning agent. It also acts as an emulsifier and viscosity modifier. It exhibits good softening- and antistatic effects.
It does not generate build-up on hair upon prolonged use and does not reduce foam.
At an acidic pH it increases the ease of wet & dry hair combing, increases hair shine, controls hair volume and reduces frizziness.
It is easily water-soluble and is ideal for rich, creamy formulations.
It is recommended for formulating body washes, liquid soaps, hair care products (shampoo, conditioner, leave-on) as well as compatible with cationic-, non-ionic- and amphoteric surfactants.
