Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (MAP) is a water soluble derivative of vitamin C. It is an excellent antioxidant, stimulates collagen production, and is well-known for its melanin inhibiting properties. MAP is gentler on the skin than L-Ascorbic, it has better stability against heat and light ,and does not require a lower pH to improve efficacy.
 It is also a free radical scavenger and once absorbed into skin it can improve signs of wrinkles and aging. Recent studies found it can promote hair growth especially in combination with MSM. Ideal applications include a wide variety of personal care products.
