IPM is a non-greasy emollient ester, that is readily adsorbed by the skin. It imparts a dry, velvety emollience to products. It is used to reduce the greasiness of whipped butters and emulsions. IPM is resistant to oxidation and will not become rancid. IPM is also an effective diluent for fragrance oils and a good solvent for lipophilic actives. Â IPM is suitable for antiperspirants, deodorants, shaving, body care, face color, after sun products, eye products, facial cleansers, face/ neck skin care, eye color, eye contour care, lip color & care and sun protection formulations.
