Clove Bud Essential Oil
Clove Bud Essential Oil
Clove Bud Oil is extracted from the buds of a small evergreen, yielding a pure essential oil used throughout the personal-care and cosmetic industry as well aromatherapy applications. This essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the dried buds of Eugenia caryophyllata, of the family myrtaceae. Clove bud oil is yellowish-brown in appearance with a characteristic spicy, woodsy aroma. It is commonly sought after for its appealing aroma to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
It is often used as massage oil diluted in a carrier oil such as fractionated coconut oil, in potpourri, and in diffusers mixed with essential oils of similar notes such as Cinnamon Bark Oil, Cassia Oil, and Vetiver Oil.
Pregnant women should be instructed to avoid contact with clove bud essential oil and contact with skin should be limited. Clove bud oil is not for internal use.
