Ammonium Lactate acts as a moisturizing and keratolytic agent. It is based on natural L-lactic acid, which is produced by fermentation from carbohydrates. It is a major contributor to the natural moisturizing factor (NMF), and plays a crucial role in optimizing skin hydration as well as relieving itching from eczema . It helps reduce skin roughness and visibly reduces skin dryness and an ashy appearance of the skin, making the skin feel smooth and look healthy and radiant again. It is particularly efficient for very dry skin and helps to restore it to a normal healthy condition. It is especially recommended for dry and rough spots such as elbows and knees.
